Wellbeing

 

Newtown Primary School offers a suite of Wellbeing programs to support our students with extra needs academically, socially or emotionally. These programs include Literacy support, Young Language groups, and a School Chaplain. We also have the support of a network Psychologist and Speech therapist. A special Mentor program called ‘Kidshope’ is also offered at our school.

Child-Safe Standards

 

As part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to implementing the recommendations of the Betrayal of Trust report, which found that more must be done to prevent and respond to child abuse in our community, there is a new regulatory landscape surrounding child safety, underpinned by the new PROTECT Child Safe Standards.

Out of School Hours Care

 

Out of hours care is provided by School Support Services

Before School Care (7am-9am) includes a nutritious breakfast

After School Care (3.30pm–6.30pm) includes a healthy snack.
Vacation Care (holiday program) - 7.30am-6.00pm
